Debate and Media Camp for Baltic young people starts
Submitted by Mite Kuzevski on 13 August 2012
Over 35 people arrived today at the resort town Sigulda in Latvia for a two-week debate and media camp organized by IDEA.
They will be taught to analyze the role of the media in reporting and shaping perception of social problems relevant to their region through debate and media production at the Youth in the 21st Century: Debating and Producing Media camp.
The participants, aged 18 to 29, come from three countries – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
The combination of debate with hands-on activity allows participants to come away from the workshop with a product that can be shown publicly.
The camp ends on August 25.
